The IoS-OP Terms of Use consists of basic agreements that all IoS-OP users must follow, and agreements between each stakeholder. Models of user privilege settings and applicable guidelines for various cases are also available to help facilitate the organization of data ownership rights.

With IoS-OP, stakeholders involved in data collection and usage have been organized by each of their roles in order to clarify each objective, responsibility, and duty.
IoS-OP Terms of Use
Following discussions in the maritime industry regarding data ownership organization, scope of data usage, secondary operations, and anonymization, the following IoS-OP agreements were established based on the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s “Contract Guidelines on Data Utilization Rights ver. 1.0”.IoS-OP consortium members (ShipDC members) provide a system in which data can be safely distributed based on universal rules.
